Windows based task mangers for Android and iPhone have never disappointed us. The key to their success is the numerous features these managers come with but again none of them is complete in all senses and which is why the race to develop the most complete program is still on.
If we talk about Android OS in specific, we all know there are way too many task managers available on Google Play such as Android Task Manager, Producteev etc. Now comes a windows based task manager from XDA-Developers' senior member DeepUnknown. As per the claims of the developer (not official though) and looking at the features list of Droid Manager, it seems to be the most complete program yet.

The list of functions of Droid Manager is as follows:

The app requires the following to work properly

The developer has also released an Android app which can be found on the same page along with download links for Cygwin and this program.

- Navigate through phone files.
- Copy from / to device.
- Search for files on the device.
- Change permissions.
- Install user & system apps (to install system apps your phone mus be rooted)
- Fix APK files title saved locally, view permissions and required SDK version.
- Get build.prop file from device, change it and save back to device.
- Create zip files, sign and push to device external storage.
- Execute Fastboot commands, mostly used commands are built-in (e.g flash partition, erase partition)
- Supports transferring files from / to device via wi-fi by using the Android App provided.
- Extract custom Rom and edit build.prop, replace system / user apps, edit / add init.d scripts, add / remove kernel.
- Change Boot Animation.
- Change default Ring Tones.
- Export and sign output zip file.
- Create backup zip file that contains the system files to be effected by applying a theme or a mod. The zip file can be flashed via CWM.
Just tell the program which theme you want to apply and the files will be backed up from the phone directly. - Support for unpacking and repacking boot.img. (Check last two attachments in this post).
- Supports Creating / Restoring BackUp for user / system apps data. New! (check: Rom Manager -> Device Current Rom -> BackUp Tab)
The app requires the following to work properly
- Net Framework 4.x
- FastBoot and ADB drivers installed
- Android 2.1+
- Device USB debugging turned on (Settings > Developer Option > USB Debugging)
- Wi-Fi router ports 8000 & 8001
- For Dealing with Boot.img, Download Cygwin (download link at the bottom of this post. No Instillation Required for Cygwin, Unzip the downloaded file to where ever you want, and in Droid Manager "Boot Image" tab, point the program on where you have extracted the contents of the zip file.)
- System Sounds must be in .OGG extension if you want to add your own. Droid Manager doesn't convert to .OGG
- Rom management section is meant for noobs in custom rom building who only care about changing default apps, some build.prop values, kernel and user apps before they install a custom ROM
- Back Up is created on SD Card, make sure USB Mass Storage Is disabled
The developer has also released an Android app which can be found on the same page along with download links for Cygwin and this program.
