Intruders are everywhere who would unintentionally or intentionally try to disturb your personal space. The most common problem I am sure we all have faced is in regard to the privacy of notifications received on your iOS based device. It could be the notifications of text messages, Whatsapp, Facebook or any other app for that matter, privacy is indeed an issue here.
For users who want to have proper control on app notifications there is a new iOS 7 compatible tweak called Notification Privacy. As the name says, Notification Privacy lets you control the privacy of app notifications, that too for free. The tweak is hosted on BigBoss repository and can be downloaded from there.
The tweak will be enabled by default but in case it is not enabled, you can tap on the toggle provided at the top of the screen. Now tap on Privacy Options and select the screens on which you wish to hide the notification text. By default Hidden on Lockscreen and Homescreen will be enabled.
Next you can have an option saying “Notification Text”. By default it would be “New Notification” but you can add a custom line if you want. It is completely optional. After you have completed the above steps, tap on “Hidden Apps” and select the apps by tapping on the corresponding toggles for which you wish to the hide the notification text.
You are all set now. On receiving a notification now, instead of showing the actual text the tweak will show the Custom text you entered on the tweak’s settings page (refer to the image at the top).
As per my use the tweak does work well for text based notifications, however for apps such as Phone, it would not be of much help. But nevertheless, it is a nice tweak and you should try it.
