CCSettings Cydia Tweak – Add Custom Control Center Toggles On iOS 7 [FlipControlCenter Alternative]

Two days ago I reviewed FlipControlCenter, a tweak that lets users put custom toggles in iOS 7’s Control Center in place of the ones added by Apple. It is a brilliant initiative by Ryan Petrich but since it was in the beta stages initially, users were experiencing springboard crashes when tapping on any of the toggles. With no surprise, the tweak has been updated to version 0.2 and most of the issues have been fixed now.

Having said that, I am sure there are many users out there for whom the tweak is still not working as it should. For such users there is another and equally potent package available called CCSettings. Just like FlipControlCenter, CCSettings allows you to customize the toggles shown in the Control Center and put the desired ones on the first page.

A total of 21 toggles are added after installing this tweak, all of which are organized in pages with five icons on each page. You can swipe left or right to scroll through the toggles and enable/disable the respective feature.

Once again, alike FlipControlCenter, the tweak is available for FREE and can be installed from the BigBoss repository. Once you have installed the package you need to respring your device in order to let the tweak make the desired changes.

By default five toggles will be displayed on the first page – Data, Wi-Fi, Airplane Mode, Location Services and Do Not Disturb. If these are not the ones you use often and want some other toggles to be shown in place of these, go the CCSettings’ settings page accessible through the stock Settings app. From here you can drag and arrange the toggles in order of your preference and then hit Save to store the sequence in the memory.

As per my use, and compared to FlipControlCenter, this tweak worked flawlessly without any crashes. In short, I found it to be more stable than FlipControlCenter but since the latter has been updated, both the tweak could be considered at par. You can try both of them, one at a time, and ensure which one works for you better.
