Add Mirror Effect To Pictures On iPhone With Mirrorgram

We have seen some great photo editing applications for iOS which make use of preset filters and other effects to give a picture a special makeover. But today we will talking about a really lite yet interesting application which uses mirror effects to give the picture a twist.

Mirrorgram is a very lite camera app that captures images in a different way. The app focuses on mirror effects to make your picture look unique and cool. You can mirror any part of the screen either using your finger or using the M button present in the top bar. One will also notice tilt shift effect when any picture is mirrored.

Aside from this spectacular mirror effect that you can apply, you also have the usual filters such as vintage, sepia etc. Another feature that may be of your interest is that the application can apply mirror effect to already clicked pictures as well. So it is not always necessary to click a new picture to apply the mirror effect on, and you can do it on a previously captured picture too.

How to Use Mirrorgram?

Launch the application and point the camera to an object. The main interface of the application will have three buttons at the top while two buttons at the bottom. In the top bar, starting from the left, you have the flash mode, the preset mirror effect and the camera switcher (between primary and secondary). At the bottom, the left button will open the camera roll (in case you want to edit a picture taken earlier) while the camera button (in the middle) is used to capture a fresh image.

Now to create such a twisted picture, point the camera view on an object. Now either use your finger and swipe across the screen to tilt the scene or use the M button present in top bar. Either way, you can twist the scene in any direction. Once you have twisted the picture, press the camera button to capture it.

Note: If you want to return the scene to its normal state, just tap on the screen with two fingers and the mirror effects will be removed.

Now that you have captured the scene, you will be navigated to the filters page from where you can apply any of the preset filters. Further if you tap on the second button the top (looks like a water droplet), a blurry effect will be infused into the picture. You can even stretch the picture, to show the hidden portion, from this screen by using two fingers.

When you are done with the editing part, tap on the arrow pointing towards right. On the next screen you can add a caption to the picture and even share it on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc. You may even save the picture to your device.

The app is available for free and I must say, if not better, the app certainly is unique from other photo editing applications available on the App Store.
