Auto Read Notification Banner Titles App For iPhone: TitleSpeak Cydia Tweak

The iOS 6 was recently released and users across the world who have updated their idevices to the latest iOS version are quite liking it. One of the major improvements that Apple has brought to the new version is even a deeper integration of Siri. While earlier the virtual assistant was limited to a number of important features only, now on the iOS 6 Siri even lets you launch applications by speaking out its name.

For sure the effort from Apple is commendable but that does not mean that Siri has become perfect. There is still some scope for improvement and after seeing a new Cydia tweak, we wonder why Apple couldn’t think of what we are going to tell you now.

TitleSpeak is very lite tweak that makes your iPhone read the title of the Notification Banner out loud. It is available for free and can be downloaded from Cydia store. It does not read out the complete text under of the notification, but does brings a notification to your notice by reading out its title.

TitleSpeak makes use of Siri’s voice to read out Notification titles, which makes you feel it is a naïve feature and not a third party add-on.

How useful the tweak is? Well the tweak could prove to be a time saver in situations like when you are driving or your iPhone is in your pocket etc.

Once the tweak has been installed and you respring your device, the function will immediately be enabled. No settings or icon will be added for the tweak which means you will not be able to disable the tweak. It works for stock as well as third party apps.

Besides the unavailability of the settings page for TitleSpeak, another letdown of this tweak is that it remains active in Silent mode too.

It is a tweak worth trying and the fact that it is free, makes it an even better deal. However, for users who are not convinced yet may wait for the an update which would probably bring a settings section for the application.
