Save And Read Web Pages On iPhone Without Internet: WebOffline For Chrome Cydia Tweak

Safari, which is the default browser on iOS, works pretty well and has some good features which definitely need some appreciation. However, when it comes to saving web pages, so that one can read them later on, Safari does not provide the slightest of the help. People who run their iOS devices on a limited data plan really needed this feature as it is helpful in saving some kilobytes which otherwise be wasted in reopening a page.
So arrived WebOffline tweak on Cydia which lets you save web pages for offline reading in Safari. But what about people who do not like to jailbreak? Well unfortunately there is no solution yet.
Recently Google released the official Chrome browser for iOS and while users were thinking that the abovementioned feature would come in it, the browser did not arrive with the same. But the Chrome for iOS is a brilliant browser which has its own unique appeal and performs well. So again I was wondering of a tweak alike WebOffline for the Chrome browser and here arrives WebOffline For Chrome. This is actually the same tweak which was released for Safari, but has been redesigned specifically for Chrome.

It is priced at $0.99 which may sound a bit much but considering the fact that it improves the already great Chrome for iOS, the price tag is totally worth it.
To download the tweak, go to Cydia search and type in WebOffline For Chrome. Once you install the tweak a new button will be added to Chrome’s settings menu. The button will appear like a Wi-Fi button with a cut.

The green notification appearing at the bottom confirms that the page has been saved for offline reading. To read an offline page, open a new tab and tap on the WebOffline button present at the bottom right corner. All your saved pages will be listed here.

I am sure you will love this tweak. If you like this post do not forget to like my Facebook page or you can also hit the +1 button.
