In the recent past there have been several reports saying that Apple is not going to launch the iPad Mini with Retina display until early 2014, but the latest report coming from Wall Street Journal says more than that. As per the WSJ report, which is based on the info leaking from Apple’s parts suppliers, the Cupertino giant will introduce a thinner iPad and a Retina iPad Mini.
According to the report, Apple is going to use a thin film instead of glass, to make the new iPad thinner that the currently sold model. Moving on to the iPad Mini, the report says the new iteration will use a high resolution display, though no specific info is available as of yet.
This is in contradiction to the previous iPad Mini reports which say that the Retina version is still far due to shortage in supply of 7.9 inch high resolution display screens. But it is very likely that Apple does announce the Retina iPad Mini at tomorrow’s event but defers the launch to a later date. Rumours are also there that Apple will launch the new iPad Mini tomorrow and will sell it alongside the current model.

Another very interesting bit of info coming as a leak is that GarageBand could go free for all iOS 7 compatible devices, with additional GarageBand instruments and sounds available as in-app purchases.
There is a lot going around Apple’s 22nd October event and the best thing for all the fans would be to just for it and see what Apple has actually planned for us.
