Now that the untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 is out users are glad to jailbreak their devices but, at the same time, are confused about which tweaks to install and which not, as they do not want to end up screwing their devices. If you are looking at trying out tweaks which are confirmed to be working on iOS 7 by other users you can take a look at this working Cydia tweaks list here.
The Cydia store is gradually picking up pace now and more iOS 7 compatible tweaks are being uploaded. One of the latest tweaks is called Menu Button Emulator which is available for FREE, and is beneficial for users of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch with broken/malfunctioning home button. Of course, if your device has a broken home button it is useless to an extent as you would not be able to do much with it.

Menu Button Emulator comes to your rescue here and emulates the Home button on the screen, thus resolving the issue to a great extent. It imitates the home button functioning and floats on the home screen.

To download the tweak go to Cydia and either look for it under the Changes section or search for it. Once installed you can respring your device and the floating home button will immediately be visible on the screen. Users can drag the button and place it anywhere on the screen.
The tweak is easy to use and is really helpful in the case of devices with malfunctioning home buttons. Users with working physical button can also use the tweak to increase the life of the button.

How To Use Menu Button Emulator?
Using the floating home button is quite easy. Tapping it once brings you to the home screen and to bring up the application switcher or the multitasking card switcher, you have to long press the button. Double tapping does not work with like it does with the physical home button. The tweak is easy to use and is really helpful in the case of devices with malfunctioning home buttons. is iPhone5s usable?
ReplyDeleteIt really depends. You need to try it yourself and see if it works or not. All tweaks as of now are not confirmed to work on all devices. I tried this tweak on iPhone 4 and it worked.
DeleteAwesome tweak! Loving it! And would love more if there was a power button version of it! :)
