Nokia’s Android Powered Smartphone “Normandy” Image Leaked

Every now and then Nokia has been seen surrounded by rumours suggesting that the Finnish major is working on a new smartphones running Google’s Android mobile operating system. The story has been interesting so far as Nokia, as of now, is completely focusing on devices with Windows Phone OS but it never ruled out the possibilities of a smartphone with Android onboard.
In the recent past a couple of images have leaked of a Nokia smartphone which is speculated to be an Android powered device and just a couple of hours ago another image of the same smartphone has come up. If the smartphone is to be believed in, it is quite strange as Microsoft is acquiring Nokia’s devices and services business.
Moving away from the Microsoft acquisition for the time being, the smartphone in question is named Normandy and the latest image of the same comes from the stables of @evleaks. Evidently the Android powered Nokia device will follow the company’s current trend of releasing devices in multiple colours. So we could see Nokia Normandy in black, white, red, yellow, cyan and mint green colour options.
It would be very exiting to see an Android smartphone equipping Nokia’s hardware but what we are skeptical about is will this device ever be launched in the market? Since Microsoft is going to have the authority to take decisions on Nokia’s behalf now, it is very much likely that the former will not be in favour of the project and will probably bring it to an end.
So yes, the device in picture is not confirmed but if it does come, we would ever so excited to see some extra competition being injected in to the Android market.
