Launch Your Favourite Apps From iOS 7 Lockscreen – Swipey Cydia Tweak

When I had iOS 6 installed on my iPhone, one of the tweaks that I could not live without was Axis. This brilliantly designed tweak had a seamless integration with the iOS 6 lock screen and let me launch my favourite apps right from the lock screen.
Ever since the untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 was released I was waiting for such a tweak and finally it has arrived. Called Swipey, the tweak is developed by Tyler Nettelton and is available for $1.99 from the BigBoss repository.
Swipey allows users to launch their favourite applications from the iOS 7 lock screen using simple swipes. The integration of the tweak is seamless and it does not have any undesirable effects over the performance of your Apple device.
To install the tweak, launch Cydia and head to the search section and type in Swipey (mind the spelling). Since there are no tweaks with the same name you would easily find the same. Download the package after purchasing it and respring your device once the installation finishes. After the device resprings, the lock screen would behave a little abnormally when you swipe over it but you should not worry as it is change that the tweak has made.
On the settings page there are six positions, open each of the positions and select your favourite app from the list of installed and system applications. Here you have to make sure you select the apps in your order of preferences. The app you use the most should be the First App and the next one as the Second App and so on.

How To Use Swipey On iOS 7
After successfully installing the tweak and unlocking your device, open the stock Settings app and look for Swipey at the bottom. This is the settings page of the tweak and you need to configure it before make use of the feature. On the settings page there are six positions, open each of the positions and select your favourite app from the list of installed and system applications. Here you have to make sure you select the apps in your order of preferences. The app you use the most should be the First App and the next one as the Second App and so on.
After you have selected your six favourite applications, lock your device to test the tweak. Now from the lock screen swipe to the left (instead of right – which is used to unlock the device) and you will see the first app. Similarly if you keep swiping toward the left you will see all the six applications appearing one by one.
To launch any of the apps stop on the app’s icon page and it will immediately be launched.
As per my use I found it a little inconvenient to use swipes all the time and if you are fine with it, you would not be fine with how it launches the apps. The moment you stop swiping the app on that very page will be launched and I found it to be certainly disappointing. Overall it is a nice tweak that does its job pretty well, however the price tag $1.99 is a bit too much I believe.
