If you have been using an iPhone or iPad for quite some time now and often take pictures, you must have realized that the quality of pictures is always great. In fact so great that it is has become an addiction for many of the users.
The camera quality is one of the unique selling propositions of the iPhone and iPad and which is why many people are happy owning more than one Apple devices.
Did you ever come across an app that helps you take advantage of both your Apple devices at the same time? If not, I have a very interesting camera application for you that access the camera of a nearby Apple device to take pictures.
Impressive enough? Well it is. WiFi Camera is one of the latest additions to the Apple Store and this application connects your iPhone or iPad to another Apple device and takes pictures using the latter’s camera. All it requires is both the devices to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and running Wi-Fi Camera app at the same time.
It is a very lite application which downloads instantly. Once you are done with installing it, switch on the wi-fi and launch Wi-Fi Camera.

You will see an interface like above. You need to launch the app on both the devices and as soon as it detects the other Apple device, the name will be displayed immediately.
Now when you see the name of the other Apple device, tap on it and an incoming invite notification will be displayed on the other device’s screen. You must press Accept here.

Once both the devices are connected, you can place one of the devices on a tripod stand or a custom camera stand and use the other device to take pictures.
As you can see in the image below, both the Apple devices are connected to each other and the viewfinder is showing the scene from the device placed afar, while the scene from the device’s viewfinder present in your hand is shown in a small window at the bottom right corner.

What else you will see is three buttons at the bottom, the first one to capture the image, the middle one to disconnect the two devices, and the third one to switch between the primary and secondary camera present on the remote Apple device.
When you click a picture, it will be saved in the photo stream of both the devices which is a great feature. Another important thing to know is that the connection between two devices can be established via Bluetooth as well, but for best results a Wi-Fi connection is recommended.
The app is available for Free and can be downloaded from the link given below.
